On Tuesday evening, 3 June, from 7pm onwards, there will be an opening reception at the campus bar, The Basket. The bar is close to the main building where the conference will take place, so you will have the chance to explore the venue, and of course meet fellow conference participants. During the reception there will also be the possibility to register for the conference.
The opening reception is included in the conference fee.
The conference dinner will take place on Thursday 5 June, from 7pm onwards at restaurant In de Waag. Originally built as a City Gate in 1488, the building has had many different purposes over the years, functioning as a Weigh House (Dutch Waag), a home for the guilds in the seventeeth century, and more recently as a museum. It was in this building that Rembrandt painted one of his well-known works, The Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicolaes Tulp. In 1996 the restaurant opened its doors.
We will enjoy a three-course meal at In de Waag. You can register for the dinner for $60 ($40 for students) at the same time as registering for the conference, see Registration. Please note that there's a maximum number of participants.
